The final DSD files were transferred into a Merging Technologies Pyramix DSD/DXD Masscore workstation for sample rate conversion, format conversion, and metadata tagging, using the Pyramix Hepta filter for PCM conversion.
Recording & Production
The transfers from the master tapes were executed on the UltraMaster, a unique Studer A80 tape machine designed and built by John Curl with custom electronics.
Recording & Production
The master tapes for this album were inspected, cleaned, treated with preservatives, and baked in an incubator at 135 degrees to reformulate the binding.
Recording & Production
The master tapes were stored 'tails-out' and a library wind was performed before transfer, with levels set according to included EQ sheets and 1KHz tones precisely adjusted for exact playback speed.
Recording & Production
Dave and Daryl Wilson selected a custom-modified EMM Labs ADC-8 Mk IV, modified by Andreas Koch, for the analog-to-digital transfers into a Sonoma DSD workstation.
