The album title, "A Quirky Dream," is taken from the first movement of Piotr Szewczyk's Three Episodes, chosen because the album's producer, Gabriel Beavers, believes all the compositions have dreamlike qualities.

Gabriel Beavers, the bassoonist on this album, is the Associate Professor of Bassoon at the University of Miami Frost School of Music and has performed as a concerto soloist with several orchestras.

The Bergonzi String Quartet, which performs on Giselle Eastman's Fantasy, has been Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Miami Frost School of Music since 1992, with all four members being faculty.
