Germaine Tailleferre changed her surname from 'Taillefesse' to 'Tailleferre' as a mark of protest against her father's disapproval of her musical education.

This album was recorded using 24-bit / 96 kHz technology, which provides a dynamic range up to 48 dB greater and 256 times the resolution of standard 16-bit recordings.
Critical Reception
Works by women composers, such as Smyth and Chaminade, were sometimes criticized by the musical press for being either too 'virile' if ambitious, or too 'feminine' if simple.
