This album is the fifth CD in a project to record Alessandro Scarlatti's complete keyboard works, which stemmed from a study and publication plan of his extensive manuscript sources.

Francesco Tasini is a member of the Editorial Committee for the publication of Marco Enrico Bossi's opera omnia for Organ and co-director of the magazine 'Arte Organistica & Organaria'.

The performer also embellished or diminished melodic lines, particularly in expressive and slow movements, to accelerate the overall 'Notenbild' (musical image) of the piece.

The pieces on this album are performed on a 'Organino' built by Carlo Serassi (1816-1849) in 1836, which is now located in the Basilica of Santa Maria di Campagna in Piacenza.
