The Abegg Trio, consisting of Ulrich Beetz (violin), Birgit Erichson (cello), and Gerrit Zitterbart (piano), has been performing together since 1976.

Mozart had a highly gifted sister, five years older than him, who played the harpsichord exceptionally well.
Instruments
For the early trios KV 10-15, the recording uses a copy of a Silbermann fortepiano, which produces a bright tone and direct attack.
Interpretation
The Abegg Trio uses historical instruments for their recordings, including copies of fortepianos by Anton Walter and gut-strung string instruments.
Composition History
It was not until the New Mozart Edition appeared in 1966 that it was realized that KV 10-15 are Mozart's first piano trios.
