1/7Recording & Production
Most of the album was played in one take, with the artist improvising for hours and recording everything, then selecting the 'magic moments'.
Recording & Production
The album was recorded in Saal 3 at Funkhaus Berlin, a historical East German broadcasting complex built from 1953-1956, known for its acoustically advanced recording rooms.
Interpretation
The album was carefully mixed and mastered at a lower volume to preserve its original dynamics.
Instruments
The only piano used on this record is a pianette bought for 50 Euros, which was then restored by Carsten Schulz.
Recording & Production
The mixing console, KONSUL 1, used for this album was custom-made by Matthias H. Franz Hahn and his team during 2016 and 2017, built around traditional Danner broadcasting modules.
Recording & Production
The recording utilized the Funkhaus's three old reverb chambers, which were the original method for producing ambience in recorded music and are considered superior to modern digital reverbs.
Instruments
The album features a custom-made 'Peterson-Maus-Hahn' touring organ, similar to a church organ but MIDI-controlled, used to create percussive sounds.
