Dr. Reed Thomas, Director of Bands at Middle Tennessee State University, is an active conductor and clinician who has commissioned over thirty compositions since 2003.

The conductor, Reed Thomas, chose pieces for this album that had not been previously recorded, such as Leslie Bassett's Nonet and William Bolcom's First Symphony for Band.
Performer Biography
The Middle Tennessee State University Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Reed Thomas, is recognized as one of the outstanding university ensembles in the U.S. and abroad, having toured South Korea, China, Costa Rica, and Panama.
