Boris Tchaikovsky (not related to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky) was one of the most important Russian composers of the 20th century, born in Moscow in 1925.
Recording & Production
The manuscript for Boris Tchaikovsky's Three Pieces (1945) was discovered after his death by his widow, Yanina-Irena Iossifovna Moshinskaya, and the first piece was reconstructed by Dmitry Korostelyov for this recording.
Composition History
The Sonata for Two Pianos (1973) on this album is a world première recording.
