Movses Pogossian is a dedicated champion of new music, having premiered over 70 works, many of which were written specifically for him.

Performer Biography

Movses Pogossian, the violinist on this album, made his American debut with the Boston Pops in 1990, and was a prizewinner of the 1986 Tchaikovsky International Competition.

Performer Biography

Movses Pogossian was the youngest-ever First Prize winner of the 1985 USSR National Violin Competition, an award previously won by famous violinists David Oistrakh and Gidon Kremer.
