Franz Schubert's 'Auf dem Strom' was written specifically for a concert presented by the composer on March 26, 1828, to display his newest and best works.

Eldon Matlick, the Professor of Horn at the University of Oklahoma, is also the Principal Hornist of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra.
