The IBA emblem features an etching by Albrecht Dürer, which was sent to Idil Biret by Nadia Boulanger, a renowned French music teacher, at Christmas 1959.
Performer Biography
Idil Biret has made over eighty LPs and CDs for ten different record labels, including complete piano works by Brahms, Chopin, and Rachmaninov.

The Idil Biret Archive (IBA) will initially release 19 CDs, including Liszt's transcriptions of Beethoven's Symphonies and Biret's newly recorded 32 Sonatas and all Piano Concertos of Beethoven.
Performer Biography
Idil Biret, the pianist on this album, made her first recordings at the age of eight in November 1949 for ORTF (French Radio and Television Broadcasting) in Paris.

This CD is a joint production between the Idil Biret Archive (IBA) and Bilkent University's BMP label.
