Angela Hewitt is renowned for her award-winning recordings of all major keyboard works by Bach, described as "one of the record glories of our age."

Angela Hewitt was awarded an OBE in 2006 and made a Companion of the Order of Canada in 2015.

This album was recorded in Das Kulturzentrum Grand Hotel, Dobbiaco, Italy, between September 26-29, 2015, using a FAZIOLI Piano.

The front illustration of the album is "Pietrasanta P09.24 (2009)" by artist Caio Fonseca.

Angela Hewitt hosts her own annual Trasimeno Music Festival each summer in Umbria, Italy, featuring international artists and her own performances.

Angela Hewitt's international career was launched after winning First Prize in the 1985 Toronto International Bach Piano Competition.
