This Hybrid SACD was recorded in August 2016 at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, England, and aims to reproduce the natural sound of a concert venue using 5.0 Surround sound.
Compositional Technique
In West Side Story, Bernstein uses the tritone, a dissonant interval known as 'diabolus in musica' in the Middle Ages, to unify the score and associate with the hate-filled gangs.
