The Tonkünstler Orchestra's own label, founded in 2016, releases up to four CDs per year, including studio productions and live recordings from the Wiener Musikverein.

Instruments
The shō, a Japanese mouth organ featured in Takemitsu's "Ceremonial", is traditionally played with a small charcoal fire (hibachi) to prevent condensation from affecting its sound.
Composer's Artistic Vision
Tōru Takemitsu aimed to create a sound as intense as silence and wanted to let sounds move freely, rather than controlling them like driving a car.
