Lydia Kakabadse's multi-national heritage (Russian/Georgian father and Greek/Austrian mother) and upbringing in the Greek and Russian Orthodox faiths inspired this album, Cantica Sacra.
Composer Biography
Lydia Kakabadse, the composer, started piano lessons at age five and began composing at thirteen, later studying double bass and music at Royal Holloway College, University of London.
Recording & Production
The singers on this recording are all former members of the Choir of Clare College, Cambridge, who sang under Graham Ross's direction as Choral Scholars and Exhibitioners.
