Sophia Liu began playing piano at age four and participated in her first competition a year later, going on to win numerous awards.

This album is a live recording made on April 7 and 8, 2025, at the Jean Couty Museum as part of the Piano à Lyon / Piano Transmusic Jean-Luc Bondaz season.
