Eldar Nebolsin, the pianist on this album, was born in Uzbekistan in 1974 and was awarded the Sviatoslav Richter Prize in 2005.
Composition History
Chopin's Variations on 'Là ci darem la mano' from Mozart's opera Don Giovanni, were first performed in Vienna in 1829 and drew the attention of the young Robert Schumann to Chopin's work.
Recording & Production
This recording is the first to use the new Polish National Chopin Edition of the music.
