Chopin's Piano Concerto in F minor, Op. 21, though published second, was actually his first piano concerto and was premiered in Warsaw in March 1830.

Szymon Nehring is a Polish pianist who was the only Pole to reach the finals of the 17th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw.

The middle Larghetto movement of Chopin's Piano Concerto in F minor is a nocturne, one of the composer's favorite lyrical forms, inspired by a platonic affection for singer Konstancja Gładkowska.
