Laurence Davies, the horn player, has rejoined the Philharmonia Orchestra as Principal Horn, a position he previously held from 1998 to 2008.

This album, titled 'Connections', was conceived during the 2020 lockdown when Laurence Davies and Helen Davies, a mother and son duo, decided to record together.

Helen Davies, the pianist, studied with Gordon Green, who was a pupil of Frank Merrick, connecting her musical lineage to Beethoven through Carl Czerny and Theodor Leschetizky.
