Siegfried Translateur, a composer featured on this album, was forced to sell his publishing company and had most of his music destroyed by the Nazi regime due to his Jewish connections.
Historical Context
Franz von Blon's characteristic piece Blumenfluster was played on the fateful Titanic, alongside works by other composers featured in this series.

Much of the performing material for these 'lost gems' had to be located through extensive research, and conductor John Georgiadis reconstructed some works from original archive material.
