Peter Dickinson, the composer, initially trained as an organist, even serving as Organ Scholar of Queens' College, Cambridge, before his career shifted to piano as an accompanist for his sister.

Instruments

The Henry Willis organ in St. Dominic's Priory, used for one of the recordings, was completed in 1883 and is considered one of the most historically important instruments in the country, having remained unaltered.

Jennifer Bate, the organist, is considered a world authority on Messiaen's organ music, having recorded all of it to critical acclaim and numerous prizes, including a Grand Prix du Disque.
