Most works on this album were originally written for solo piano, violin and piano, or even violin and orchestra, and have been arranged for violin and guitar by Mats Bergström.
Interpretation
The arrangements for "Summertime," "Tea for Two," and "Yesterdays" were never written down, but were created jointly by Svend Asmussen and Ulrik Neumann during daily ferry trips.

Joakim Svenheden, the violinist on this album, was the first leader of the London Philharmonic Orchestra from 1992 until 2000.
Instruments
The violin used for tracks 8-16 and 20-22 is an Antonius Stradivarius from Cremona, made in 1722.
Performer Biography
Joakim Svenheden and Mats Bergström, the performers on this album, both studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and began collaborating regularly as 'Duo a piacere' after a successful summer tour in 1998.

The album was recorded in August 2001, February 2002, and August 2003 at Hemsjö church, Alingsås, Sweden.
