El Hierro, the westernmost of the Canary Islands, was considered the western edge of the known world by early geographers, and the ancient astronomer Ptolemy drew the prime meridian through it.
Composer's Artistic Vision
Michael Fahres, the composer, created the piece "Coimbra 4, Mundi Theatre" from sound recordings of an event in Portugal, intentionally without visual impressions to avoid clouding his musical associations.
