Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whose father Leopold Mozart was a leading music teacher, was at the peak of his violin playing abilities when he became concert master in Salzburg in 1772.
Critical Reception
Mozart's violin concertos did not enter the standard repertoire for a long time; their scores were not fully printed until 1877.
