This album is a fundraising effort for the Otjikondo School Village, a boarding school in Namibia that supports approximately 240 children.
Performer Biography
Friedrich Wilhelm Schnurr, the pianist on this album, was awarded 1st prize at an ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 1959.
Recording & Production
The recording for this album was made possible by the Music Academy in Detmold and the Erich-Thienhaus Institute, which provided their concert hall and recording studio free of charge.
Performer Biography
Friedrich Wilhelm Schnurr, the pianist, was a Professor for Piano at the Academy of Music in Detmold from 1965 and served as Chancellor of the Academy from 1982 to 1993.
Recording & Production
Two students, Luisa Sachs and Dominik Streicher, handled the recording and editing of this album.
