Venezuelan pianist and composer Gabriela Montero makes the premiere recording of her own Piano Concerto No. 1, 'Latin', a celebration of the energy and beauty of South America. Made up of players drawn from across the Western Hemisphere, the Orchestra of the Americas also accompanies Montero in Ravel's sparkling G major Piano Concerto, conducted by Carlos Miguel Prieto.
