Aleksey Semenenko, the violinist on this album, plays a Stradivarius violin from 1699, on loan from the German Music Foundation.

The production of this professional CD is a collaboration between the Cologne University of Music and Dance, WDR, ARS Produktion, and the Friends and Supporters of the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.
Performer Biography
Aleksey Semenenko and Inna Firsova, the duo on this album, won the Jury Prize and the Orlando Prize for 'Best Concert' at the 67th Dubrovnik Summer Festival in 2016.

The album is titled "Taste the Best - The Stars of Tomorrow" and will be presented on Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) radio broadcasts.
Interpretation
The album's concept places Schubert's Fantasy in C major after Paganini's 'I Palpiti' Variations to highlight the Fantasy as the central work.
