Benjamin Toth, the percussionist on this recording, has performed extensively worldwide and has studied various world percussion traditions, including West African xylophone and Ewe barrel drumming in Ghana.

Joseph Alessi, the trombonist on this recording, was appointed Principal Trombone of the New York Philharmonic in 1985 and previously held positions with the Philadelphia Orchestra and L'Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal.
