The Academy of Ancient Music (AAM) is one of the world's first and foremost period-instrument orchestras, formed in 1973 by Christopher Hogwood, and is Orchestra-in-Residence at the University of Cambridge.
Interpretation
For the Sixth Concerto of Op. 3, a solo organ improvisation has been added as a middle movement, in the spirit of Handel's Op. 4 Organ Concertos.

Compositional Technique
The Sonata a 5 (HWV 288) by Handel, written in Rome in 1707, features a dialogue between a solo violin with cembalo and a 'concerto grosso' string orchestra.
