Hans Seeling, a pianist and composer, suffered from ill health, which led him to travel to Italy and tour the East before settling in Paris and then Germany.

Jouni Somero studied piano in Switzerland and at the Music Academy in Cologne, and gained deeper insight into Liszt's music under the legendary Hungarian pianist Georges Cziffra.
