Dong-Su Shin's song "O San" was written on the eve of the Korean War by his father as an ode to his native village, which he feared he would never see again.

Sergei Rachmaninoff composed no original songs in the 26 years after leaving Russia in the wake of the 1917 Revolution, as if it was too painful to identify with poets in exile.
Recording & Production
The recording was produced, engineered, and mixed by Simon Kiln, with additional engineering by David Hinitt, and took place in May, July, and November 2022 at All Saints', East Finchley, London.
