Composer Biography
Pehr Henrik Nordgren, a Finnish composer, and Pe ¯teris Vasks, a Latvian composer, were friends and held each other in high regard.
Interpretation
Cellist Simone Drescher was inspired by Pe ¯teris Vasks's instruction to use one's own voice in his Cello Concerto, leading her to vocalize in her adaptation of Bach's 'Erbarm' dich mein'.
