Both composers on this album, Leoš Janáček and Reinhard Febel, originated from Central Europe and lived in Vienna, with Febel residing in Berlin where Janáček was a member of the Prussian Academy of Arts.

This album was recorded in November 2020, November 2021, and January 2021 at Auditorio Manuel de Falla and Espacio Turina in Seville.
