Kate Whitley, the composer and pianist on this album, co-founded The Multi-Story Orchestra with Christopher Stark, which is based in a car park in Peckham.
Composition History
The Viola Concerto was Kate Whitley's first orchestral piece, written for violist Shiry Rashkovsky when they were both students, after a university panel rejected the idea.

NMC has created a 'Re-Mix App' based on Kate Whitley's music, designed for school students to create their own remixes using techniques from Olugbenga Adelekan's remix.
