Omán Kaminsky Lara, one of the guitarists, has performed in over 20 countries, including Carnegie Hall and Concertgebouw, and has won over 30 international guitar competitions.

The album was inspired by the commission of Armando Luna's Sonata for flute and guitar, which was initially feared unfinished before the composer's death in 2015.
Performer Biography
Evangelina Reyes, the flutist on this album, was awarded the 'Myrna Brown International Scholarship' by the National Flute Association in 2022, a distinction given to only one flutist worldwide for their career and promotion of their country's musical culture.
Historical Context
The album features works by ten Mexican composers born between 1947 and 1984, showcasing a wide range of aesthetics from urban bolero to jazz, Neoclassicism to new technologies, and nationalism to Central European avant-garde.
