This album is the third and final volume of the string quartets by Andrés Isasi, a composer who was long-neglected but is now considered important.
Recording & Production
The original manuscripts for the works on this album were revised and completed by Karsten Dobers, who is also the violist of the Isasi Quartet.
Recording & Production
All the works on this album, including String Quartets Nos. 1 and 5 and the Violin Sonata, are world premiere recordings.
Composer Biography
Andrés Isasi, a Basque composer, was initially influenced by Grieg and Dvořák but later acquired a love of Germanic culture while studying under Humperdinck in Berlin.
