The work Topos, for 8 musicians and electronics, was inspired by anthropologist Philippe Descola's book Beyond Nature and Culture, structuring the piece into four parts corresponding to Descola's four patterns of human-environment relationships.

Jean-Luc Hervé's concert-installations, which stand at the edge of the concert hall and its exterior, were influenced by Japanese gardens and Edgard Varèse's Déserts.
