Composer's Artistic Vision
The album's concept is inspired by William Shakespeare's quote, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players," aiming to tell a story through music with a theatrical flavor.

The album title, 'Kagami', is the ancient and modern Japanese word for mirror, which can be interpreted as 'kami' (divinity) surrounding 'ga' (the self).
Instruments
Kaori Uemura performs on two 7-string bass viols, one made by François Bodart in 1985 after Joachim Tielke, and another by Bodart in 2005 after Barak Norman.

Aline Zylberajch plays a harpsichord made by Andreas Kilström in 2007, modeled after an Ioannes Ruckers instrument from 1628 now in the Château de Versailles.
