Composer Biography
Mieczysław Karłowicz, who died at 32, was buried under a snow avalanche on Mount Kościelec in 1909.
Compositional Technique
In his Three Pieces in Old Style, Górecki, a dodecaphonist at the time, used strictly diatonic, modal scales and only 'white' notes.
