Performer Biography
Rafael Aguirre, the guitarist, made his orchestral debut at 16, performing the Concierto de Aranjuez with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Málaga.
Interpretation
The duo, Nadège Rochat (cello) and Rafael Aguirre (guitar), selected only pieces they both loved, leading to the natural creation of this album project.

This album was recorded from January 27-29, 2014, in the Immanuelskirche Wuppertal, with Annette Schumacher as producer and Manfred Schumacher as sound engineer.

The album title, "La vida breve" (Life is Short), is named after an opera by Manuel de Falla and reflects the concept of "carpe diem" – to live each day to the fullest.
