Instruments
Gualtiero Dazzi's The House of Dreams is composed for three different flutes—bass, alto, and C—to achieve a wide sound palette and variety of timbres.
Compositional Technique
François Daudin Clavaud's interstitial sequences, inspired by pictorial calligraphy, use recorded flute samples processed and mixed via a gestural interface for improvised play with effects like delay and pitch.

Tao Yu's piece, Falling Plum Blossoms, is written for three bass flutes and incorporates a live recitation of a Chinese poem, a melody on a Chinese flute, and a specific whistle imitating a Chinese singing voice.

This album features works written for a show titled «Le son de l'encre» (The sound of ink), which premiered in March 2019.
Composer Biography
Gualtiero Dazzi dedicated his piece, The House of Dreams, to South Korean artist Kim Jung Gi, who passed away unexpectedly in October 2022 at the age of 45.
