Jean-Marie Leclair's Fourth Book of Sonatas was published when he was 46, six years after its first announcement, during which time he lived in Amsterdam and The Hague.
Performer Biography
Luis Otavio Santos, the baroque violinist on this recording, is the Artistic Director of the Festival Internacional de Musica Colonial Brasiliera e Musica Antiga de Juiz de Fora, an event honored by the Brazilian Ministry of Culture.
