Performer Biography
Pianist Slávka Pěchočová's doctoral dissertation at Prague's Academy of Performing Arts focused on the complete piano works of Leoš Janáček.
Composer Biography
As a young student, Janáček was a boarding student and choirboy at the Augustinian Monastery School, where choirmaster Pavel Křížkovský instilled in him a taste for Moravian folk repertoire.

This album was recorded in Prague at Martinů Concert Hall in September, October, and November of 2009.
