Wolfgang Haffner, the album's composer and drummer, aims to lead his band from the drums by shaping the music rather than displaying virtuosity.
Wolfgang Haffner, the album's composer, is known as probably the most popular drummer/bandleader in Europe, having performed in over 100 countries.
The album was recorded by Arne Schumann at JRS Studio Berlin in January 2024, with additional recording done at various other locations.
The album 'Life Rhythm' originated from Wolfgang Haffner's first solo concert, which prompted him to incorporate drums into his songwriting process.
The cover art for 'Life Rhythm' was created by Peter Krüll, used with his kind permission.
All the pieces on 'Life Rhythm' originate from a drum groove, with the title track echoing Phil Collins's 'Take Me Home'.
