This album is the beginning of a multi-album project curated by pianist Coady Green, aiming to record all of Linda Kouvaras's solo instrumental music, chamber works, and songs.

Linda Kouvaras, the composer, is a Professor of Music at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, University of Melbourne, and started her musical life as a pianist.

Linda Kouvaras's musical language explores postmodernist neo-tonal/neo-modal ideas, often incorporating popular music idioms and minimalism, with the human condition as a central theme.

Recording & Production

The recording sessions for this album took place across multiple dates in 2022 and 2023 at the Hanson Dyer Hall, Ian Potter Southbank Centre, Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
