The album's cover art, titled 'Midday Blue 3', was created by Sean Scully, an Irish-born American artist known for his abstract paintings.
This album was recorded live on April 19, 2024, at Illipse, Illingen, Germany, by Saarländischer Rundfunk, a German public broadcasting institution.
The album captures a live performance where 'more or less nothing was predetermined,' reflecting the trio's improvisational approach.
The trio's concerts have evolved into 'beautiful séances' where fragments of their songbook emerge spontaneously, without a predetermined setlist.
The recording was mixed and mastered by Klaus Scheuermann, who is also thanked in the special acknowledgements.
