Composer Biography
Liza Lim, who grew up in Australia as the daughter of Chinese parents and taught in Europe, has a lifelong interest in relations between different cultures.

The Annunciation Triptych by Liza Lim draws connections between three women from different cultures and eras: the Greek poet Sappho, Mary (Mother of God), and Fatimah (daughter of the Prophet Muhammad).
Performer Biography
Soprano Emily Hindrichs gave the world premiere performance of Liza Lim's opera Tree of Codes as Adela in collaboration with Ensemble Musikfabrik.
