The Beatus vir cycle, a key part of this album, was composed by Paweł Łukaszewski between 1996 and 2007 and consists of eight songs dedicated to various saints.

The Collegium Cantorum Choir of the Częstochowa Philharmonic, founded in 2012, is a professional mixed choir of 24 singers and has performed in many countries including Argentina, Uruguay, China, and the USA.

Paweł Łukaszewski, the composer, was born in Częstochowa in 1968 and is a professor of composition at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
Composer's Artistic Vision
Paweł Łukaszewski believes that sacred music, for him, is about depth, space, and perspective, with sounds and harmony serving as means to find one's place within the sacred.
Interpretation
The conductor, Aleksandra Zeman, arranged the songs on this album to create a unique narrative, with Latin pieces forming a cohesive whole and the Polish song about Cardinal Wyszyński as an appendix.
Recording & Production
This album was recorded in the Częstochowa Philharmonic Hall across two sessions in September 2016 and March 2018.
