Recording & Production
All compositions on this album were commissioned and premiered in Wrocław by the LutosAir Quintet, a Polish wind ensemble.
Performer Biography
Tomasz Żymła, the bass clarinetist on tracks 9-12, conducts the first-ever bass clarinet class in Poland at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.

The album was recorded in the Main Hall of the Witold Lutosławski National Forum of Music in Wrocław, Poland.
Performer Biography
Nate Wooley, the trumpet player on tracks 1-3, is considered a leading figure in the American movement to redefine the physical boundaries of the trumpet.
Composer's Artistic Vision
The album's title, "Intimacy without Proximity," is borrowed from an academic text about encountering grizzlies as a companion species, suggesting a personal relationship with the music.
