Lisa Larsson, the Swedish soprano, began her international opera career as a Mozart interpreter after her debut at La Scala under Riccardo Muti.

Compositional Technique

Martinsson's Concerto for Orchestra quotes from several of his own significant works, including the other three pieces on this album, and also includes a quotation from Schoenberg's Pelleas und Melisande.

Performer Biography

Sakari Oramo, the chief conductor and artistic director of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, was named Conductor of the Year in 2015 by the Royal Philharmonic Society for his work with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
